Perfection of democracy?
As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Come on, Jack - that’s beneath you. Calling people morons is more the province of the angry left, don’t you think?
Electorally it hasn’t worked very well for them, and for argument’s sake, I don’t think it’s a suitable position for anyone who takes the Clinton haters of the 90’s to task the way you do either.
